This tutorial will show you how to create this simple but effective greeting card using the embossing technique, perfect for any occassion.

    Estimated Time:
    30-45 minutes

    Skill Level:
    Beginner

Using the brass butterfly, emboss the butterflies onto the vellum. Before embossing the bottom buttefly, flip over the stencil so that it is facing the other way. Add an embossed rectangular border around the butterflies as shown in figure 1

Cut around the outside of the rectangular border. Cut a rectangle of the purple pearl card slightly larger than the vellum. Stick the vellum to a card so it acts as a border. (See figure 2.)

Figure 2

You could add any greeting you like to this card. Either use peel-offs directly onto the blank card or back the greeting onto the purple pearl card.

Figure 1

Tear a strip of the lilac handmade paper and using double sided tape stick across the centre of the blank card. Stick a piece of the yellow gingham ribbon above and below the torn paper as shown in figure 3.

Stick the butterflies to the centre of the card using double sided tape.

Attach a pink dragonfly brad to either side of the butterflies on the handmade paper as seen in the main picture.
